Ask for your ‘Walk Talk Look’ café ticket on arrival at Newhaven Fort.
Itinerary
2.15pm: meet Pat Thornton + Gret Heffernan at Newhaven Fort café, where refreshments are available to purchase.
2.30pm: introductory talk
Periodic drawing/writing stops to respond to aspects of the riverside.
3.30pm: arrive Marine Workshops
4.00pm: meet artists Robert Littleford + Rachael Adams at ‘Border: After Ravilious’ installation
Activity level
MODERATE to ACTIVE – Must be able to walk on uneven or inclined surfaces and climb stairs. Due to the nature of some included experiences, this walk is not recommended for anyone with a cane or walker.
Getting here
Public Transport: The fort is a mile from Newhaven Town train station (and Newhaven Town station bus-stop), which will take approx 20 mins to stroll. Cross the river and take the Riverside North footpath, then from the marina, follow Fort Road to Fort Rise.
By car: From the A259 (one-way system), follow signs for The Fort from South Road. The fort car-park is beyond the Castle Hill Nature Reserve.
