In the Footsteps of Ravilious

The last instalment of a project by Robert Littleford and Rachael Adams, deep mapping the area in and around Newhaven: landscapes made so familiar over 80 years ago by Eric Ravilious.

Ravilious was posted in Newhaven as a War Artist in September and October 1940. He recorded the coastal defences at the Fort on Castle Hill, which overlooks the sea and West Quay.
